Courses

1. Basics of typological analysis in architecture
The course is aimed at highlighting the problem of finding modern approaches to the formation of typological characteristics of architectural objects. The historical retrospective of this topic makes it possible to see the possible directions of the development of architecture in the future. The discipline introduces future architects to various approaches to solving the specified problems.

2. Theoretical foundations of modern architecture
The discipline is aimed at mastering the main principles of designing architectural and urban planning objects in a post-industrial society based on a systematic approach to the study of modern architectural science. Within the framework of the discipline, the generalized theoretical material of systematic studies in the field of architecture and urban planning is taught, as well as familiarization with the structure of domestic and foreign architectural and design activities.

3. Architecture of public and industrial complexes
The course is aimed at obtaining theoretical knowledge about the architecture of public and industrial complexes. Mastering the main principles of comprehensive consideration of urban planning, functional-technological, socio-economic, engineering-construction and architectural-artistic factors in the design of civil and industrial architectural objects. The specifics of the manifestation of these factors in different periods of the development of architectural and urban planning activities are considered. In particular, special attention is paid to the awareness of the impact on specific project decisions of processes in society and their relationship with the physical and geographical characteristics of individual territories.

4. Architectural Design
The course aims to provide an in-depth exploration of architectural practices behind different themes. Students sharpen their design skills, urban spatial analysis, spatial planning and graphic modelling.

5. Master's Project Management
The course provides the guidance of students in writing a Master's thesis. Under the supervision, the student can demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills of urban planning and volumetric planning design using the methods, principles and techniques in the field of architecture and urban planning.
