Current research
The Department’s research publications address a range of problems mainly in linguistics and methods of teaching foreign languages. The research is based on exploring the fundamental nature of language in terms of linguistics and stylistics, ICT in teaching, feedback and assessment in foreign language classrooms, development of professional communicative competence skills. Within these areas, teachers of the department present their research at international and Ukrainian scientific conventions and conferences. STUDY PROGRAMS. As an interfaculty unit, the department provides language training in English and French to students of all study programs in our Academy. The courses are English/French for Specific Purposes (professionally-oriented course), English/French for Academic Purposes, Business English, English (intensive course), French (intensive course), and French as a Second Foreign Language.
