Courses
1. Landscape architecture
The course is aimed at obtaining theoretical knowledge about the history of garden and park art and landscape architecture, methods of landscape architecture, modern trends and prospects for the development of landscape architecture. The best experience of domestic and foreign park construction is summarized. The main principles, techniques and regularities of the formation of landscape architecture objects, their connection with the urban and natural environment are considered.
2. Basics and methods of designing recreational areas
The formation and development of recreational infrastructure in Ukraine in time and space, factors, trends, types and forms of recreation in Ukraine, taking into account the social order and recreational potential of Ukraine, are considered, principles and methods of territorial organization of recreation and town planning classification of recreational entities, typology of recreational institutions (general classification). Attention is paid to the development of green tourism in Ukraine. In the practical classes, the method of designing a suburban recreational facility is taught.
3. Basics of urban planning and regional planning
The course is aimed at studying the basics of urban planning - the theoretical base of the architect's project activity.
Considered: directions of scientific research in the field of urban planning, conceptual and experimental projects of urban planning objects, factors affecting the appearance, functioning and forecasting of the development of various types of urban planning objects; basics of territorial planning and stages of planning; organization of the design process for urban planning objects of various types and hierarchical status: urban planning objects, planning levels, design stages, etc.
4. Architectural Design
The course aims to provide an in-depth exploration of architectural practices behind different themes. Students sharpen their design skills, urban spatial analysis, spatial planning and graphic modelling.
5. Architectural Planning and Experimental Design
The course will allow students to operate research mechanisms correctly, analyse the spatial structure of the territory and predict architectural and urban transformations in the process of its development, to apply the results obtained to solve necessary problems of urbanism, urban planning and architecture.
6. Master's Project Management
The course provides the guidance of students in writing a Master's thesis. Under the supervision, the student can demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills of urban planning and volumetric planning design using the methods, principles and techniques in the field of architecture and urban planning.
