THE FIRST CLASSES WITHIN THE JEAN MONNET GRANT PROGRAMME AT PSACEA
(ERASMUS-JMO-2022-MODULE No. 101085133 – EUGREEN “European Practices on Green Deal: Lessons for Ukraine”)
The preparatory stage of the educational and outreach project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme has come to an end — and now the learning process begins!
The first classes are designed for bachelor’s and master’s students, covering two core disciplines:
– “EU Policy on Green Economy and Innovation”, and
– “European Practice of Investment in Green Construction.”
In the following semester, classes will be held in the course “EU Adaptation to Climate Change and Sustainable Urban Ecosystems.”
Dear students,
please make sure to familiarize yourselves with the textbooks developed by the project team, which are based on the EU regulatory framework, expert reviews, and analytical papers on managing green growth and environmental renewal.
Special attention is given to the challenges of Ukraine’s post-war recovery and reconstruction based on the principles of the green economy.
These textbooks have received highly positive feedback from national experts, universities, and researchers across different regions of Ukraine.
We look forward to sharing these exciting weeks and months of study with you — let’s begin this journey together!
TOPIC 1. THE ESSENCE, STRUCTURE, AND INTERCONNECTIONS OF THE GREEN ECONOMY WITHIN THE GLOBAL COURSE TOWARD SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
At the beginning of our first topic, we will explore the global concept of sustainable development and clarify its key goals.
Next, we will analyze the concept of the green economy as the foundation for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and discuss the priorities and directions of the green transition.
Finally, we will examine how the EU implements the policy of green transition, and begin to study the European Green Deal — the EU’s strategic program document up to 2050, which embodies the policy of green economic development.
