Start of the intensive retraining courses For the teaching stаff
On September 16-20, representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology (Research Study Institute «Pridneprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture» and Research Study Institute «Ukrainian State University of Chemical and Technology») took part in the Intensive training course «Energy-efficient buildings», which is held within the framework of the project «Innovative Master Courses Supporting the Improvement of the Energy and Carbon Footprint of the Ukrainian Building Stock»
The retraining course «Energy-Efficient Buildings» which organized by the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, is aimed at strengthening the harmonization of academic approaches and engaging stakeholders to develop new courses and enable Ukrainian university teachers to understand new teaching methods and implement them in the educational process.
Representatives of all project participants took part in the meeting: Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine; Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine; Dnieper State Academy of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine; Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine, National Transport University, Ukraine, Odesa National Economic University, Ukraine, Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, Ukraine, Lviv National University of Nature Management, Ukraine.
Assoc. Prof. Department of Power Engineering Bielianovska O.A. and Assoc. Prof. of Department of Technologies of Natural and Synthetic Polymers, Fats and food products Sukha I.V. took part from Research Study Institute ‘Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology’.

The course included an academic session conducted by prof. Štefan Stanko, Prof. Ing. Michal Krajčík, Prof. Ing. Dušan Petráš, prof. Ivona Škultétyová, Dr. Jaroslav Hrudka, Dr. Réka Wittmanová.
Project participants got acquainted with the European experience in energy certification of buildings, as well as energy management and monitoring of buildings.
Ukrainian and European norms and standards in the field of energy efficiency of buildings are compared.
Discussions were held in microgroups regarding the academic aspects of UKRENERGY, in particular, the harmonization of educational approaches and curricula, the issue of harmonizing curricula of disciplines related to energy efficiency and sustainability of buildings.
Participation in the training course will contribute to the active updating of educational programs based on Ukrainian and European experience and will give a powerful impetus to scientific activity.
