Current research
This research examines the transformation of the regional system of recreation and tourism in order to create an industrial tourism cluster. The transformation is achieved through a combination of environmental and urban planning renovations, as well as functional-planning reorganizations of industrial areas. Specifically, the research investigates how these changes impact the region's tourism industry, and what benefits they bring to local communities. This study is being carried out as part of the department's scientific plan ‘Ecological and urban planning features of the transformation of elements of the planning structure of a large city taking into account the revitalization of industrial territories (on the example of the city of Dnipro)’. Issues ‘Ecological and urban planning forms of renovation of depressed areas of a large city’ and ‘Functional and planning reorganisation of industrial areas for recreational use’ (2021-2023, № 9121U111374).

Courses
1. Principals of Urbanism
The course is aimed at developing students' systematic knowledge of the processes of urbanization of territories. It provides modern urban theories and concepts, understanding the patterns of changes in urban planning and architecture, as well as acquiring practical skills and methods in urban studies.
2. Architectural Design
The course aims to provide an in-depth exploration of architectural practices behind different themes. Students sharpen their design skills, urban spatial analysis, spatial planning and graphic modelling.
3. Architectural Planning and Experimental Design
The course will allow students to operate research mechanisms correctly, analyse the spatial structure of the territory and predict architectural and urban transformations in the process of its development, to apply the results obtained to solve necessary problems of urbanism, urban planning and architecture.
4. Master's Project Management
The course provides the guidance of students in writing a Master's thesis. Under the supervision, the student can demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills of urban planning and volumetric planning design using the methods, principles and techniques in the field of architecture and urban planning.
