Current research
Basic trend of current research is Investigation of electrophysical properties in liquid dielectrics. Electric conduction of liquid dielectric in constant electric field is often complicated by formation of volume charges in near-electrode areas. For Investigation of conduction process the following methods are used: - method of charging currents investigation; - setting for discharging currents measurements; - method of reversal currents investigation; - setting for study of field distribution with using Kerr effect. Measurements are made in dependence on time applied to a dielectric liquid in electric field, on applied field strength, ambient temperature. Influence of interelectrode distance on the results is also investigated. Experimental investigations allow to determine such parameters as value of conductivity, value and signs of mobility of charge carriers and their coefficient of diffusion under field removal, coefficients of generation, recombination, thermal energy activation of electric conduction and mobility

Expertise Summary

The experiments allow to make the attempts of process simulation of dielectric liquids conductivity, including the use of "attenuated" memory method. Investigations in that field are of important practical application: - Recommendations on determination of specific volume electric resistance of dielectric liquids  are proposed. Seven kinds of emulsions and fifteen types of suspensions are tested according to these methods in our laboratory by the order of Research Institute of Industrial Safety Measures in Chemistry. The exact determination of  gives opportunity to forecast the danger level of electrization of high-resistive liquids. - Investigations of kinetic characteristics of fluorocarbon liquids are made for the Research Institute Electropribor orders. Methods of determination of charge carrier mobility in fluocarbon liquids are proposed. - Automatized experimental computer-based set and its software for investigation of kinetic characteristics of dielectric liquids in wide range of voltage, interelectrode distances and time are designed. - Experimental set for measurements of specific dielectric permeability and liquid density for investigations of polarization and dipole moments of molecules by second Debye method and investigation of frequency dependence of angle tangent of dielectric losses computer-based is designed with the use of the tester of dielectric permeability and liquid density H2-8, also alternating current bridge. - Research of electric methods of purification and control of the purity level of weakly conductive liquids and oils.
