Defense of the Comprehensive Thesis Project “Renovation of the Coworking Hub Dnipro Building”

On June 19, 2026, the Educational and Research Institute “Dnipro State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology hosted the defense of a comprehensive thesis project titled “Renovation of the Coworking Hub Dnipro Building.”

The project was the result of a collaborative effort between students and the institute’s faculty and researchers, demonstrating the high level of training of future specialists in the fields of construction, architecture, and digital design technologies (3D laser scanning and BIM modeling). The comprehensive nature of the work made it possible to integrate architectural, structural, technological, organizational, and economic solutions into a unified concept for a modern multifunctional space.

The main goal of the project was to create a modern coworking center by renovating the existing building in accordance with current requirements for energy efficiency, comfort, accessibility, and the functional organization of the interior environment. Particular attention was paid to implementing innovative approaches to workspace organization, utilizing modern building materials and technologies, and employing digital BIM modeling and project management.

The comprehensive thesis defense was conducted as part of the European grant under the Erasmus+ BRIDGE program, “Bridging the Gap Between University and Industry,” and with the aim of developing and promoting BIM technology in Ukraine’s construction industry!
