Educational and research seminar on the european grant “The BRIDGE”

On April 30, 2026, the ESI “Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology hosted an educational and scientific seminar as part of the European grant “The BRIDGE” under the Erasmus+ program – “Bridging the Gap Between University and Industry: An Innovative Master’s Program Supporting the Development of Green Jobs and Digital Skills in the Ukrainian Construction Sector” https://thebridgeproject.org.ua/ .

The seminar was chaired by the President of the Ukrainian Academy of Construction, Academician, D.Sc. in Engineering, and Professor Ivan Nazarenko, and the Vice President of the Academy, PhD Ivan Pereginets.

The topic of the scientific seminar was a programmatic assessment of the status of BIM technology implementation in the educational process at the ESI PSACEA of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology.

The seminar was attended by the key implementers of “The BRIDGE” project, including the project coordinator from USUST Artem Sopilnyak, Natalia Chernova; Marina Bordun, Kateryna Sokolova, Kostiantyn Dikarev, Denys Volchok, and Oleksandr Denysenko.

During the seminar, students presented their graduation projects, which were completed using BIM technologies. The project “Supported Living Facility in the Village of Herasymivka, Novomoskovsk District,” authored by Tetiana Predko and supervised by Oleksandr Denysenko, drew particular interest from participants. The project aims to improve living conditions for people with disabilities and support their families, which is particularly relevant in the context of the war and Ukraine’s post-war recovery.

In addition to reviewing the qualifying projects, seminar participants devoted considerable attention to discussing the competition projects “Model, Print & Selfie—From BIM to 3D Concrete Printing,” prepared by students majoring in architecture and engineering.

Seminar participants and guests reviewed the 3D models of small architectural forms developed by the students and discussed the stages of their production and practical implementation. The competition is scheduled for May 1, 2026. The main sponsor of the event is Origin—a long-standing partner and trusted friend of ESI PSACEA, which has repeatedly supported the university’s students in implementing and mastering innovative technologies https://origin-team.com/ .
