3. Design, Installation and Reconstruction of Buildings and Structures in Special Conditions
The academic discipline focuses on mastering knowledge and gaining skills needed for the technically sound and economically justified decision-making at stages when buildings and structures are designed, erected and reconstructed in complex engineering and geological conditions, including the possible development of dangerous geological processes.
4. Monitoring of the State of Bases and Foundations in Facilities with Increased Responsibility
The academic discipline targets to study the main approaches to monitoring of deformations in buildings and structures, and to determine causes of deformations in buildings and structures in the process of construction and operation of facilities.
5. Peculiarities of Designing Bases and Foundations in Complex Geological and Hydrogeological Conditions
The academic discipline focuses on mastering knowledge and gaining skills needed for the technically sound and economically justified decision-making at the stage of engineering surveys, as well as when designing and arranging bases and foundations, and enclosures for pits of buried multi-layer underground structures in complex engineering, geological and hydrogeological conditions.
6. Soil Investigation for Construction of Buildings and Structures
The academic discipline targets to study the main issues of how to organize the process of soil investigation for construction of buildings and structures, and focuses on mastering the principles and methods of soil investigation, diagnosis and evaluation.
7. Geotechnical Design in Construction
The academic discipline places emphasis on the formation of students’ systematic knowledge in terms of geotechnical calculations to design bases and foundations of buildings and structures in various geological conditions, taking into account the level of responsibility and class of consequences, as well as generation of basic ideas on complex conditions and creation of complex calculation schemes.
