Areas of research:

- Compaction of soils with heavy rammers was experimentally investigated, and the method of improving engineering properties of soil was proposed;
- Frost heaving of clays were studied, and regularity of frost heaving with depth was established;
- Effective devices for soil exploration by pressiometer methods was developed and included in state standard;
- Interaction between turbine and foundation under the action of static and dynamic loads was investigated on the main power units of Zaporizha Thermal Power Plant, Zaporizha Nuclear Power Plant, South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant, Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant, Rivne Nuclear Power Plant, Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant, Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant, Rostov Nuclear Power Plant, Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant (Bulgaria);
- The stress-strain states of layered soils with creep were investigated, the consolidation under the influence of eccentric load was studied;
- Experimental and theoretical investigations of the soil consolidation under reactors of nuclear power plants was performed;
- Method of dynamic calculation for turbine foundations has been proposed;
- New combined massive-plate footings for the action of static and dynamic loads and methods of calculation were developed;
- The deformation investigation of the huge turbine foundations under the influence of static loads and the temperature changes by high-precision geodetic method were performed;
- The geotechnical monitoring provide during the construction of buildings and underground structures.
